Top ten reasons to step down!!

10) You are the first chairman to loose a freeholder seat in 20 years.

9) You promised to UNITE our republican party, instead you have made the fissures grow greater. Factionalization occurs when people feel disenfranchised. Unification occurs when people feel that they have a stake in the organization.

8) You have let your personal feelings drive the entire screening process and over the past 4 months your chairmanship. You have stated publicly that you did not like certain elected officials and that you could not work with them in the upcoming campaign.

7) You have made it clear that all dissenters should be excluded, "If you are not with us you are against us!!" You have removed fund raisers from the GOP calendar, removed Ads from Ad journals and removed people off of mailing lists.

6) You feel that the process that appointed you and selected three freeholders and one surrogate is a "CANCER". When in fact the process involved true grass roots campaigning. Rank and File republicans and committee people had the opportunity to hear the candidates in the months that preceded the convention. The candidates got a taste of how big monmouth county is and how demanding a county wide race is. Those who were willing to work hard, think on their feet and actually excite the republican base got the nomination.

5) You have lied to the press and were caught doing it. Your quotes contradicted you actions. Your actions contradicted your quotes. Your quotes also contradicted your quotes. (yikes)

4) You have chased away one of the most popular freeholders we have had in years. You have used your power as chairman to make her not welcome in her own party. I can only imagine how disenfranchised she must feel to even consider switching parties.

3) You have chased away one of the (if not the) most popular sheriff Monmouth County has ever had. Your personal relationship with him was also at odds with your role as chairman. Although publicly the story is that he stepped down because of personal reasons, I know your inability to put your personal issues aside surely played a roll in his decision.

2) You promised to be a masterful fund raiser, yet you shut down one of the candidates fund raising efforts because you were intimidated by the fund raising group. You took a job that would force you to disconnect from your primary role as chairmen.

1) You are a decent person, you now have a decent job, you should do the decent thing for you and your family and step down. Adam, I know you, I want to see the best for you. Don't sacrifice your new job and the Monmouth GOP for your ego.
